The sound and interaction of this piece was developed in Max using OSC messaging from phone to computer. The audio-reactive visuals were made with openFrameworks with live post-effects applied in VDMX.
Made with openFrameworks using optical flow analysis to detect movement of body.

Audio Garbage is an audio-reactive sculpture made with Arduino and openFrameworks. This sculpture uses found items and objects (garbage), breathing new life into them.

Microphone input is taken in and FFT analysis is conducted to separate and sort sound frequencies from low to high. Low, mid, and high frequencies are mapped onto different portions of the LED to create animations and movements that reflect the feel and dynamic of live sound.

Noisy body is a live multi-sensory performance tool for dancers and musicians.

It was developed in Processing, using the Kinect sensor to get a 3d scan of a subject. The person's body is animated and warped dynamically according to live sound input.

Noise is incorporated in two forms: sonic noise and perlin noise. Both forms of noise are applied to the subject/performer's body to distort it and create new abstract forms.

The Processing sketch is broadcasted live via Syphon allowing for further modifications and post-FX to be applied by VJ tools such as VDMX. This gives the piece added variability and lifespan during a potential performance or show.
